Addiction is something that is heavily shamed in society. Why? I struggle to find that answer myself. We live in a culture that is alcohol-obsessed. When people think about having a good time, alcohol is usually the foundation. Fun=Booze. Whether it be alcohol addiction or substance abuse, these inspirational accounts give hope to many who feel alone on their journey in recovery. Although I have not personally struggled with it, I know many beautiful individuals who fight to stay sober. As a mental health advocate, I know the importance of community and its role in recovery, which is why I want to share some incredible Instagram accounts that discuss addiction and sobriety inclusively and artistically.
